Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Told By Lucy is committed to making this website as accessible and easy to use as possible.

I want everyone who visits toldbylucy.com to be able to access the information and services available, regardless of their individual needs or circumstances.

Approach to accessibility

I aim to make this website accessible in accordance with recognised accessibility best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Where possible, I aim to ensure that:

  • Website content is clearly written and easy to understand.

  • Pages have a clear and logical structure.

  • Text can be resized without significant loss of functionality.

  • Links and interactive elements are clearly identifiable.

  • Images include alternative text where appropriate.

  • Colour and contrast are considered when creating website content.

  • The website can be navigated using a keyboard where supported by the website platform.

  • Content is presented in a way that works across a range of devices and screen sizes.

As Told By Lucy is a small, independently run business, and I recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process. I will continue to review the website and make improvements where reasonably possible.

Known limitations

Although I aim to make toldbylucy.com as accessible as possible, some parts of the website may not fully meet every accessibility requirement.

The website uses a host site, and some elements of the site's functionality are provided by the platform. This means that certain accessibility features and limitations may be outside of my direct control.

I will endeavour to address accessibility issues that I become aware of and will consider accessibility when making future updates to the website.

Feedback and accessibility support

If you experience any difficulty accessing or using any part of this website, please let me know.

I welcome feedback about accessibility and will do my best to provide the information you need in an alternative format or find another way to help you access it.

You can contact me at:

Email: lucy.appleyard@outlook.com

When contacting me about an accessibility issue, it would be helpful if you could tell me:

  • The page or content you were trying to access

  • What difficulty you experienced

  • The device or browser you were using, if relevant

I will aim to respond to accessibility enquiries as soon as reasonably possible.

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is not a one-off exercise. I will continue to review and improve toldbylucy.com as the website develops and as accessibility guidance and technology evolve.
